PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE NOT TAKING ANY NEW SAXENDA APPOINTMENTS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Follow up appointments are still available

Important information for Zoom appointments:

Saxenda® has become so popular, and we have had so many requests from ‘out of towners’, we have decided to offer appointments online via Zoom. But we ask that if you are available to come in to our clinic, that you do that instead of a Zoom call.

As Saxenda® is a medicine needing to be prescribed by a doctor, we do need to do things a little more thoroughly when doing Zoom consults. But getting a Saxenda® prescription online is possible.

We request that you get an official height, weight and BMI reading / printout from a pharmacy or your medical centre before your consult. As it is important we get accurate information.

Ideally we need you to be signed up with a login to Manage My Health as we can access your medical records. If your records do not have up to date blood pressure and blood tests, then please let us know so we can organise this. We require a recent blood pressure reading, and if possible recent blood tests, from your GP that are less than a year old. You can request these by calling your medical centre and getting them to email the info emailed directly to us (admin@ashleyaesthetics.co.nz).

How the online appointment works:

1.  A Zoom link will be sent to your email address at the time of your appointment.

2. One of our team will have a thorough talk to you about this medicine, and make sure of your eligibility.

3. If you’re booked with a nurse, and you are going ahead with the medicine, then Dr Leanne or Dr Ruth will discuss the Zoom call afterwards with the nurse to confirm that they are happy to prescribe.

4. At the end of the consult, a script will be written and emailed to a local pharmacy of your choice, and they will call you when the medicine is ready to collect. (Usually the next day). They sell the pens in a box of 5 (for around $480+). We have found Bargain Chemist and Chemist Warehouse to be the cheapest.

5. We will send you an email with a summary of what has been discussed, and with your permission we can also send all notes to your GP for them to keep on file.

6. You then book in for your follow up appointment – around 4 weeks later. And a new 3-peat script can be issued.

Pricing:

1.  Initial 1-hour consult $400 (3-repeat script included)

2. The initial medicine pens and needles approx. $480+ for a box of 5 (you buy these from the pharmacy) these will last everyone a different amount of time depending on what daily dose you require. But your first 3 pens usually last around 4 weeks.

3. An on-line 30-minute Zoom follow-up consult after 4 weeks $200

4. More pens when you run out of the first 5 (approx. $480+ box of 5 from pharmacy)

5. If required: another 30-minute Zoom call follow up 16 weeks after initial consult $150. And this can include another 3-repeat script.

From there if/when required.
